The current stay at home order for Greater Sydney including the Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Wollongong and Shellharbour has been extended for another week until 11:59pm on Friday, 16 July.

Therefore, football matches will not be returning this weekend.

As per previous communication and confirmation from FNSW in relation to the NSW Government directives and relevant Public Health Orders, it is very clear that no formal competitions or training sessions are to take place. Although undertaking exercise for outdoor groups of 10 or less is permitted, the Public Health Order specifically states that no community sport (whether training or a match) shall proceed.

During the 2020 lockdown we circulated individual training programs, which we have also recently posted on social media and we encourage you to share with coaching staff and players. Attached is the link to this program:

The NSW Government has indicated there will be a road map and timelines post lockdown. Once we have further information, we will consult with all stakeholders and will provide further information on a revised competition resumption plan. As part of this we will continue to monitor announcements from the NSW Government and liaise with Football NSW and provide further updates as required.

We trust that everyone will comply with the Public Health Order and NSW Government directions to ensure the health and safety of the whole community.
