Football South Coast is excited to announce and confirm the inaugural Women’s Premier League competition will be introduced in Season 2023.
We can confirm the following six clubs will form the basis for this year’s competition.
- Albion Park White Eagles
- Bulli FC
- Shellharbour Juniors
- Thirroul FC
- University FC, and
- Woonona FC
We are confident that this league will grow in the coming years.
The league structure will be similar to that of the Men’s Premiership model with each clubs fielding three grades.
- First Grade
- Second Grade
- Youth Grade (Under 21)
This will no doubt provide more females the opportunity to play at our highest local association level.
This concept will see all three grades playing consecutively across the match day in a 15-round season (clubs play each other three times) which is currently scheduled to start on Sunday 23 April 2023.
There will be a four (4) team finals series played at the conclusion of the regular season.
The Julie Porter Cup will be played as a pre-cursor to the season with details released shortly about the format and timing of this competition.
