Shellharbour got off to the best possible start with Madeleine Costanzo sliding the ball past Liliana Spiroski after some good lead up work from Samara Wehmeyer after just 90 seconds.
On six minutes, Shellharbour made it two. Jessica Bell’s shot from the edge of the box floating over Spiroski.
The home side didn’t take their foot off the pedal. Bell made a strong run down the left, shrugging off a defender before squaring to Wehmeyer, who couldn’t miss on 11 minutes.
Not long after, Costanzo stole possession deep into Coniston’s half and headed to goal before dispatching her effort high into the net. It was 4-0 on 16 minutes.
Shellharbour extended their lead on 40 minutes. Spiroski spilled a shot.. Sofia Mieli laid off to Costanzo, who finished to complete her hat-trick.
Shellharbour scored again just after half time with Costanzo’s shot only parried to Meili, who made no mistake with the rebound.
On 64 minutes, Costanzo tucked the ball past the keeper to make it seven.
Bell went on a great run down the left beating her opponent before sending the ball across goal. Unfortunately, it deflected off Layla Pierags for an own goal.
On 70minutes, Shellharbour nearly scored again. Kari Gonzalez put a neat ball through to Costanzo, who squared to Kristy Roher, who just couldn’t quite force it over the line.
Coniston managed to steady the ship late in the game as Shellharbour saw out the game, taking out the league title in the process.
