Match of the round- Woonona Sharks FC-4, Bulli FC-2 @Ocean Park
The Sharks stepped up in their home win after their previous loss, much to the dismay of a winless Bulli
In the 32nd minute, the persistent Woonona gained a corner, Jordan Wheatley rifled a volley from the backpost; however, a Bulli defender knocked it out with her arm.
Penalty for the Sharks.
Wheatley from the spot, calmly slotted it home to the right side of the goal, which sent the goalkeeper the wrong way.
Woonona 1-0.
In the 41st minute, Armitt was taken down by her defender before she could fire her shot, but the keeper lost hold of the loose ball, and Armitt scrambled to the open chance and sent it into the top right of the net.
In the 50th minute, Bulli countered back with Penelope Hausner, who dodged and weaved through the defence and sprayed a shot at the keeper. The keeper lost hold of it, and Hausner lunged for the second opportunity and chipped it over both the keeper and the defence and into the net.
Nine minutes later, the Sharks reclaimed control over the game with Tess Stephens powered strike, which deflected off multiple defenders and resulted in a trickled ball past the confused keeper.
In the 63rd minute, the Sharks capitalised as Morgan Potter won a header from a corner with Armitt, who again pounced on the error of the Bulli defence.
Four goals for Woonona to Bulli’s one.
Bulli’s dedication to a way back into the game was rewarded in the 75th minute.
Hannah Moore completed a solo goal where she wriggled past three oncoming defenders and slotted past the keeper, who could only parry it into the bottom left bin.
The visitors’ goal ended up being a consolation goal as their forwards couldn’t register another before the final whistle.
Bulli’s hunt for a first win in the season has continued, though there is optimism with their first goals of the season scored, and that they should look to continue that attacking threat against fifth-placed Shoalhaven.
The Sharks take on Shellharbour, who are opposite to bottom-of-the-table Bulli.
A win will decide who goes top of the table, and also a potential first loss for Shellharbour as well.

It was then curtains for Shoalhaven, who were outmatched in both halves, as Jasmine Trajceski sealed the game with a third punted in goal.

The University of Wollongong has made the most out of their home advantage for the past three games in a row.
They face the test to continue their run with an away match against Thirroul, who have only one win in their campaign.

Thirroul JFC-0, Coniston FC-2 @Thomas Gibson Park
Coniston prevailed in the contest for a spot in the top four of the table against the Thunderbirds
In a match that was end to end, neither team was able to score in the first half.
After the hour mark of the game, Coniston struck through a great effort from Tara Cannon whose 25 yard strike went in off the post.
Just over four minutes later, substitute Simona Spaseska buried chance from the edge of the box to make it 2-0 for the away team.
Coniston’s initiative to take the wheel of the game into their hands in the last half hour was what became the defining factor in their secured victory.
After the previous loss to the University of Wollongong, Coniston came back rejuvenated with this result and hope to carry on the morale in the Julie Porter cup after their bye.
Thirroul will face an uphill battle against the University of Wollongong, who are on a three-game winning streak, but the Thunderbolts hold the home advantage.
