Match of the Round- Woonona Sharks- 0, Coledale Waves-3 @Ocean Park
Coledale’s attacking play was too much for Woonona as they dominated their way through a three-goal win.
Woonona got an early chance in the first 8 minutes to catch Coledale off guard.
Kane Osgood skipped past his full-back, where he then curled in a cross to the backpost with Bede Clark, who couldn’t convert his volley on target.
In the 14th minute, the tall, dominant forward, Eduardo Bateman, made a chance for himself to try and get a goal for the Waves; however, his shot from the edge of the box was saved in the top right corner.
Coledale made their attacks count with an intricate pass play on the counter.
Bateman finished it off with a cross over the defenders to Liam Chilton, who rocketed a close post finish from a tight angle in the 19th minute.
1-0 to the Waves.
Coledale pushed for the rest of the first half to extend their margin and were rewarded with a late first-half goal by Bateman.
The forward snuck a toe-punted shot into the close post, assisted by Chilton, who took on multiple defenders and slipped the ball through.
Woonona again began the next half with a counterattack to get a foothold back in the game as Osgood in the first minute hit a first-time through ball to an in behind Clarke, but his slotted shot was blocked by George Mihail.
20 minutes into the second half, Chilton swung in a cross from a corner, and there was a slight deflection into the path of Thomas Spargo.
He was free in the back post and used the opportunity to smash his volley into the roof of the net
In the 87th minute, James Biship attempted to join his teammates on the score sheet as he spun his defender in and out, but couldn’t put enough power on his shot to trouble the keeper after.
The game finished three goals to zero in Coledale’s favour.
The Waves verse Bellambi for their next encounter, Coledale will be the host for the upcoming fixture.
Woonona travel away to face Albion Park, both on equal points in the table, though Albion Park holds the advantage with the game in hand.

Figtree FC-0, Warilla Wanderers FC-4 @Harry Graham Park
Warilla put four past a goalless Figtree, who still look for their first historic win in the Men’s Premier League.
The Wanderers make their early opportunities count with a goal at the hands of Jordan Buchanan in under ten minutes.
Within the 33 minutes of play, the visitors find the back of the net again with Jack Murray on the back of a hat-trick in the last game to put himself on the score sheet again.
There was no mercy in the second half by Warilla as Lance Condello bagged a goal in quick succession within the opening minute of the game, Figtree already on the back foot in the second half.
In the 77th minute, Jack Fowler only brought more burden to Figtree as he buried the fourth and final goal of the game to earn the three points.
Warilla ended the round with a win just before their bye, satisfied to be in top spot on the ladder.
Figtree will have to face another in-form side in the case of Shellharbour City, who are in second place.

Corrimal Rangers FC-1, Shellharbour City FC-6 @Memorial Park
Demolition away at Corrimal for Shellharbour, who put six past the Rangers
In the half-hour mark, Edvard Grujevski became the difference maker when he broke the deadlock with a netted finish.
Four minutes later, Cassander Grujevski fired another for Shellahrbour to create the two-goal cushion.
Minutes before the referee blew his whistle, Joshua Petrovski made it three in the first half itself and had a firm lead going into the second half.
For the first 25 minutes in the second half, Corrimal seemed to have stabled and kept the score to a reasonable level.
However, not long after, James Sekuloski and Cassander Grujevski, for his double, made it five-nil in the space of two minutes, in both the 70th and 71st minutes.
Sekuloski later completed his brace as well with a 79th-minute shot fired in the net to further punish the Rangers.
Corrimal scored a consolation goal in the dying embers with Jack Gallagher to get on the score sheet for the home side.
Shellharbour match up with Figtree, who also dwindle in the bottom half of the table, so Shellharbour should expect to continue their push into first place.
The Rangers are up against Highlands for the next round’s fixture and hope to get a surprise win to leap above them, as Highlands have only two points from their latest draws.

Bellambi Rosellas-2, Highlands FC-2 @Elizabeth Park
Shared spoils as Highlands make a late comeback to ruin the party for Bellambi, who expected their first positive result of the season.
11 minutes in, and the tricky forward, Lachlan Ogorman, put his name on the scoresheet to put the Rosellas’ foot in the game.
Six minutes later, Christian Baade-Mortimer added another to his tally for the season after a goal from the first round and now in this fixture as well, to make it 2-0 before the 20th minute.
Highlands broke Bellambi’s dominance with a finish up the other end by Flynn Hessenberger to give his side a way back into the game in the 31st minute.
What looked to be a goalless second half and a first win for the Rosellas in the season was ruined in an instant in the 85th minute by Ross Graham.
The shared points are enough to maintain Highlands’ spot above Bellambi, however, by only one point.
Bellambi’s next game is against Coledale, and both teams’ desired result is to stay up or finish in the top four, respectively.
Highlands take on bottom-side Corrimal and wish to get their first win in this fixture.
