Corrimal Rangers FC-2, Woonona Sharks FC-6 @Memorial Park

The Sharks get back to winning ways as they tear Corrimal apart with six goals away from home.

Kane Osgood powered Woonona into the early lead with a goal in the 5th minute.

Two minutes later, Riley Lester joined in on the fun and converted his opportunity to make it two goals for the Sharks in under ten minutes.

Corrimal surprised their visitors with an early goal in the first half, coming from Taylor Harvey in the 48th minute, his first goal of the season.

Evan Thomas came with a bagged in goal in the 50th minute to put his side in front by a two-goal margin.

Osgood submitted Woonona’s dominance four minutes after their third, making it a brace for him on the day.

The home side wasn’t going to go down without a fight as Andrew Wierenga finished his chance in the opposition’s net to make it 4-2, still in favour of the Sharks.

Ian Hollis made it five to the good in the 77th minute to seal the game, while Lester came back with another goal later in the 81st minute to finish his brace for the game.

Woonona have a high expectation of completing a six-pointer with their next game against Figtree to put that back into the top four conversation.

As for Corrimal, they will have another uneasy match against Coledale away from home, who sit in fifth above their previous opponent, Woonona.

Shellharbour City-2, Albion Park-0 @Myimbarr Park

Two late goals are enough to ensure a victory for Shellharbour against Albion Park to put them in the lead spot in the ladder.

The game had both teams chasing for a goal to break the deadlock, but neither succeeded as the first half drew to a close goalless.

More than half an hour into the second half, George Marentis became the decisive player to break the stalemate and put Shellharbour in the lead in the 76th minute.

Two minutes later, Shellharbour pushed for a second as Jackson Nolan used the momentum to drive in a goal to put the home side in a comfortable position.

City were then able to keep Albion Park at bay for the remainder of the game and win the game with the two goals coming late in the match.

A top spot decider will be waiting for Shellharbour as they take on Warilla, who trail only by a point.

Albion Park is tasked with another tough challenge, this time against third-place Highlands.
