National Volunteer Week 2025 – Connecting Communities
19–25 May 2025
National Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering — and it returns this year from 19 to 25 May. This special week recognises the vital role that volunteers play across our communities and encourages those who haven’t yet volunteered to get involved.
The theme for National Volunteer Week 2025 is ‘Connecting Communities’, a reflection of the powerful way volunteering brings people together. Through giving their time and energy, volunteers build lasting relationships, foster inclusion, and help create a stronger, more connected society.
At Football South Coast, we see this every day — from coaches and team managers to referees, club officials, and event helpers. Our volunteers are the backbone of community football, and we are incredibly grateful for their dedication.
Let’s take this week to celebrate, acknowledge, and thank the volunteers who help our game thrive.
Interested in getting involved? Reach out to your local club or contact us to learn more about volunteering in football.
