The Women’s Community League Grand Finals take centre stage this Sunday at Ian McLennan Park.

Women’s O40 Div 1 | Jamberoo v Russell Vale Pink | Field 2 | 10.10 am KO

Jamberoo dominated the league, running out League Champions by 20 points. They have scored the most goals (39) and conceded the fewest (6).

Their opponents Russell Vale finished runners-up and are looking to cause a boilover.

These two sides met four times, with three wins to Jamberoo; however, there was one draw. Russell Vale has not scored against Jamberoo this year; however, this grand occasion may just provide some inspiration.

There have been plenty of surprises over the years in Grand Finals, and Russell Vale will be hoping they cause an upset in the opening Grand Final of the day.

Women’s All Age 3 | Gerringong Breakers v Fairy Meadow United | Field 1 | 10.30 am KO

There was nothing separating these two teams throughout the season, with Gerringong pipping Fairy Meadow for the League Championship by the narrowest of margins.

We will see the best attacking team (Gerringong) take on the league’s best defensive team (Fairy Meadow). Gerringong, though, is on an incredibly impressive run, having not conceded a goal for a little over 9 hours of football, and is unbeaten across their last 13 matches.

Fairy Meadow started the season on fire; however, they have stuttered a bit over the last few weeks, although their gritty 3-2 win in the semi-final will give them some confidence going into this game.

These two teams have met only once this year, with Gerringong edging out Fairy Meadow 4-3. They will start as slight favourites; however, expect Fairy Meadow to be right up for this one and give it their all.

Women’s O30 Div 2 | Coledale Waves v Helensburgh Thistle | Field 2 | 12.30 pm KO

The two top sides meet in this decider. The teams finished level on points, with Coledale edging out the Burgh on head-to-head.

The teams have met three times this season, with Coledale winning twice, including their qualifying final. The Thistle did pick up a win earlier this season and will know they have the game to win this match.

In fact, the only league losses these two teams have had are to one another. They both have a strong attack and an equally strong defensive line.

This match is a toss of a coin, and we wouldn’t be surprised if it were decided on penalty kicks.

Women’s All Age 2 | Albion Park FC v Fernhill Foxes | Field 1 | 1.00 pm KO

The theme of the day is the two top teams reaching the final. Despite finishing on fewer points than second and third, Albion Park’s average points saw them take out the league championship. The club was regraded to Division Two earlier this year, and they showed some strong form.

Fernhill beat Albion Park twice across the league; however, Albion Park avenged that with a win in the finals.

This is a game that could go either way, and on the three occasions these two teams have played, an average of six goals per game have been scored. Expect another high-scoring final as neither side will hold back to claim the silverware and bragging rights.

Women’s O30 Division 1 | Kiama Quarriers v Oak Flats Kraken | Field 2 | 3.00 pm KO

It’s first versus third in this one. Kiama Quarriers taking out the League Championship by just one point.

Despite finishing third and five points behind, Kraken have scored more goals and conceded fewer goals than Kiama Quarriers.

Kiama has won the previous two meetings and will be confident of completing the trifecta.

Kraken have the firepower to take down the Quarriers, having scored in every game; however, they will need to overcome a side that has only been beaten once all season.

This is another game that has the potential to go either way, although Kiama would arguably start as slight favourites.

Women’s All Age 1 | Kiama Quarriers v Moss Vale  | Field 1 | 3.30 pm KO

In the final match-up of what promises to be a grand day, Premiers Kiama take on Moss Vale.

Kiama has dominated the league, having won 12 of 14 games with the other two games drawn. They took out the league by 10 points.

These two teams have met four times, with Kiama running out winners each time. Moss Vale will be hoping for the fifth time lucky.

The last encounter saw Kiama edge Moss Vale 3-2 in the semi-final, with a late goal sealing it for the Quarriers.

Moss Vale appear to be closing the gap between these two teams. On Sunday, they get the chance to give it one last crack.

Alyce Quod has scored 25 goals this season and will likely be Kiama’s attacking threat, whilst Moss Vale’s Jessica Salomoni has netted 24 times.

Whilst Kiama is expected to win this one, don’t write off Moss Vale.
