INSURANCE

Football NSW Club Insurance 

The Football NSW Limited Insurance Program has been arranged by Football NSW on behalf of all affiliated Associations, Clubs, Referee Branches and all participants.

Football NSW Personal Accident Insurance

The Personal Accident Insurance aligns with the National Insurance Program and provides cover for Capital Benefits, Non-Medicare Medical expenses, Loss of Income and other policy benefits for all registered participants, including players, team officials, match officials, club officials, and official volunteers.

Injury Claims

Lodging claims remains via the Gow-Gates Football Claims Portal, with the Club Declaration form still to be downloaded by the claimant and then signed by the club to confirm the injury was sustained during official participation and to confirm the claimant was registered at time of injury.  Once signed by the club, the Club Declaration is returned to the participant for uploading into the claims portal.

SANCTIONING

Sanctioning is required for insurance, risk and football management purposes. The insurances provided by FNSW only apply to events sanctioned by FNSW which also requires FSC approval.

Benefits of gaining FNSW Sanctioning Approval

Public liability insurance cover;

Personal injury insurance cover for participants, referees and volunteers;

Access to FNSW accredited referees;

Risk support and information;

Member Protection and Child Protection support and information.

Examples of events requiring Sanctioning

Trial Matches

Gala days, Social Days

Bunnings BBQs (or similar)

‘Come-and-Try’ events (Pre-season ONLY)

Any activity not being held at a club’s official grounds

Particiaption in Tournaments (e.g. Kanga Cup)

Alternative training activities that are not football activities. Eg. swim sessions, gym sessions, beach runs during the season and out of season.
