Football South Coast Appoints Amanda Marino as Chief Executive Officer

AM

Football South Coast has today announced the appointment of Amanda Marino as its new Chief Executive Officer, with Mrs Marino set to officially start in the role on Monday, March 23, 2026.

Mrs Marino will be formally introduced to the football community at Football South Coast’s 2026 Season Launch on Friday, 13 March at The Fraternity Club, where clubs, partners and stakeholders will gather to mark the beginning of the new season.

A strategic and values-driven leader, Mrs Marino brings more than 14 years of senior leadership experience within the financial services sector, alongside extensive involvement in football across coaching, education and governance environments.

Throughout her corporate career with ANZ Bank, Mrs Marino has led multi-region teams, delivered sustained portfolio growth and implemented strong governance, financial and operational frameworks.

She is deeply engaged in football at grassroots and representative levels, including serving as an accredited B Diploma Coach and Coach Education Tutor with Football NSW.

She also served on the Female Football Committee and Infrastructure Council with Football St George, contributing to strategic discussions on participation growth, facilities planning and the long-term development of community football.

Football South Coast Chair Martin Rowney said Mrs Marino’s appointment marked an exciting new chapter for the organisation.

“After an extensive recruitment process, the Board is delighted to appoint Amanda as the next CEO of Football South Coast,” Rowney said.

“Amanda brings a rare combination of strong commercial leadership, governance capability and a genuine connection to the football community. Her experience working with clubs, coaches and volunteers across the region will be invaluable as we continue to grow participation, strengthen our organisation and support our member clubs.”

Mrs Marino said she was honoured to be given the opportunity to lead Football South Coast into its next phase.

“Football South Coast has strong foundations built by passionate clubs, volunteers and leaders, and I’m excited to help guide the organisation into its next chapter,” she said.

“Football has always been about community, opportunity and development. I’m looking forward to working alongside our clubs and stakeholders to strengthen participation, support inclusive pathways and ensure the long-term sustainability of the game across our region.”

“The opportunity to bring together my professional leadership experience and lifelong involvement in football is something I am incredibly motivated by.”

Mrs Marino’s appointment follows the recent resignation of long-serving CEO Ann-Marie Balliana, who concluded a 14-year tenure that delivered significant growth, governance reform and expanded participation opportunities across the region’s football community.
