Female Football Week – Volunteer Recognition: Danine Cunningham
As part of Female Football Week, we are proud to recognise Danine Cunningham for her outstanding contribution to female football at the Breakers.
Danine has been involved with the club for the past 10 years and has become a passionate and tireless volunteer who continues to play a major role in growing the women’s and girls’ game within the club and wider community.
In her role as Female Football Coordinator, Danine works tirelessly to coordinate, organise, and promote opportunities for girls and women to get involved in football. Her dedication has helped ensure as many people as possible within the community can learn, enjoy, and participate in the game in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Alongside her volunteer efforts, Danine is also a valued player who regularly leads by example on and off the field, often playing multiple matches each week while continuing to inspire her teammates and those around her.
Danine has had a significant impact on female participation at the Breakers, helping drive one of the club’s key strategic goals — growing the women’s and girls’ game. Through her hard work and commitment, she has enabled countless girls and women to enjoy football and feel connected within the club community.
Football communities thrive because of volunteers like Danine, and we sincerely thank her for her incredible contribution and ongoing passion for the game.
