We regret to announce that Cringila Lions Youth Grade team has been disqualified from this weekend’s Men’s Premier League Youth Grade Grand Final due to a breach of competition rules.

After significant investigation, Cringila Lions FC Youth team were found to have breached the Men’s Premiership Competition Rules in the semi-final game against Bulli FC by fielding a player who did not meet eligibility requirements.

We know this news will be deeply disappointing for the players, coaches, and supporters. These decisions are never taken lightly, but the rules exist to ensure fairness and integrity across all competitions, and must be applied consistently.

The rules are reviewed each year in consultation with clubs and the association to ensure they uphold fairness and integrity across all competitions.

As a result, the Premier League Youth Grade Grand Final on September 21 will now be contested between Wollongong United FC and Bulli FC.
