Football South Coast is seeking expressions of interest for people to become Match Commissioners for its Men’s Premiership Competitions. The role of a Match Commissioner is to assist Football South Coast in the operation and delivery of competitions.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Match Commissioners include:
- Liaising with the host Club to ensure the facility is presented in a fit state.
- Ensuring the matches are delivered as per the schedule and per regulations.
- Resolving any operational or competition matters as necessary.
- Immediately escalating any incidents of Club Officials or Spectator abuse or unrest to Host Club and /or respective Club Executive or Officials for actioning of a reportable incident notification inclusion.
- Escalating any incidents or questions to the relevant Competition Manager.
- Taking photographs or video recordings to capture supporting evidence of incidents.
- Liaising with the Team representatives.
- Liaising with the Referees as required.
- Liaising with Medical Officer as required.
- Ensuring all competition equipment is provided in a fit and ready state for the commencement of each fixture, including team bench seating, and working scoreboards.
- Assisting the Match Officials when requested.
- Provide summary of First Grade match highlights.
- Summary of referee(s) (including volunteer referees) performances.
- Complete Match Commissioner Online Post Match Report.
- Report any inappropriate activities to the Competitions Manager through the Match Commissioner’s reports within 24 hours of the completion of the match. This includes, but is not limited to, abusive or disruptive behaviour by players, and safety or welfare concerns.
- Wearing the designated uniform when representing Football South Coast
Selection Criteria
- Strong ability to observe and report matters accurately and using the mandatory form as provided by Football South Coast.
- Prior knowledge of football or experience is ideal however not essential.
- Ability to follow regulations and schedules (prior knowledge is desirable)
- Problem-solving
- Ability to be able to communicate at various levels, written and verbal.
Other requirements
- Night and weekend work is required.
- Working with Children number for paid workers.
- Commitment to FSC values, behaviours, and culture.
