Junior Summer Football

Junior Summer Football – Tournament Reschedule:

We thank you for your patience and understanding in waiting for further updates regarding the 2021 Summer Football tournament.

As a result of implications with COVID and further information that is required in relation to the resumption of community sport, we wish to advise that we are rescheduling the tournament to commence in January 2022.

To minimize the impact on preparations for the winter football season, the competition will run for an 8 week period.

We have also confirmed that the 2021 Active Kids Voucher is able to be utilised for the competition.

Teams and players who have registered prior to this announcement will be contacted to request an update on their participation moving forward.

Please be advised that the proposed adjustments are subject to change and will align with advice from Government, NSW Health and Football NSW.

In the event that there is no way possible to proceed we will provide a refund, however this may not include any amount claimed under the Active Kids Voucher as this is provided by the NSW Government.

AdvancedTeams who want to play at a more competitive level

Contains teams with 3 or more representative players, teams with a majority of Junior Div1/Div2 players and teams with a majority of players in Advanced MiniRoos grouping
IntermediateFor teams who are looking for a competitive level with the emphasis on social, fun football
Beginner/SocialFor teams who are focused on learning the game in a social, fun environment
(Depending on number of teams, this level may be required to combine with the Intermediate grouping)

NB:  Venue capacity and limited team numbers at each location may not provide an opportunity to offer the above football levels in each group.  Where possible teams will be grouped according to their nominated playing level.

2021 has been a challenging year and we are looking forward to being able to back out on the field to play our beautiful game.  So, start organising your team now OR register as an individual to be placed in a team.

Once again FSC will be incorporating Girls Only groupings for U12/14, U10/11 & U8/9. (Girls only groupings are subject to the number of teams nominated – in the event of nominations not reaching a suitable number – nominated teams will be given the option to join the mixed groupings). Teams wishing to compete in the Girls Only U12/14 tournament must be aware that the age range is for players 12 through to 14, it is recommended that your team consists of a mixture of girls across these ages.

For further enquiries contact summerfootball@footballsouthcoast.com

Team Structure:

  • 4 A-Side for U6 and U7 – min 5 players per team, max 7 players per team
  • 7 A-Side for U8 to U18 – min 8 players per team, max 10 players per team

(no exceptions – requests for additional players above the maximum, will not be approved)

PLEASE NOTE: Team numbers will be limited at each venue – once a venue has reached capacity, teams may be offered an alternate venue or placed on a waiting list.

Age Group Allocations:

Teams will be placed into age groups based on the age of the oldest player in the team as at 31 December 2021. eg. one player in your team is turning or has turned 7 during 2021 – your team will be placed in the U7 grouping. (the consideration of age group allocation for teams with more than 3 rep players will still apply)

If you would like your team to play in an age group above their registered 2021 age group, please note this on the Team Nomination Form next to your team name eg. United FC (U8).
