Junior Summer Football

Tournament Update – COVID RESTRICTIONS:

We are monitoring all information provided by NSW Health and waiting further updates with regard to the return to sport for community groups.

We are currently considering all possible scenario’s to be able to operate the IMB Bank FSC Summer Football tournament for our members.

In the event that there is no way possible to proceed we will provide a refund, however this may not include any amount claimed under the Active Kids Voucher as this is provided by the NSW Government.

 

After a fantastic 2020 Summer Football Season, FSC are looking forward to the upcoming 2021 season!

 

The 2021 tournament will continue with: 

  • The option to choose the level of football for U8 – U18’s – Advanced, Intermediate or Beginner/Social 
  • No limit to the number of Representative Players per team 
  • Teams containing 3 or more Representative players will automatically qualify for the Advanced level group and may also be placed in an age group above their registered playing age (this includes teams in the U11 age group, you may be moved to the U12 age group at either Thomas Dalton or Ian McLennan) 
  • Girls only U12/14 combined age group @ Thomas Dalton Park 
  • Girls only U8/9 and U10/11 combined age group @ Woonona High School (pending number of team nominations received) 
  • U17/18’s (combined age group) mixed competition (pending number of team nominations received) 
  • Reminder: Ian McLennan Park will use both synthetic and grass fields (depending on number of teams choosing to play at this venue)

NEW to this year’s competition: 

  • NEW LOCATION – Woonona High School (Saturday morning juniors)
  • Team Nomination process has changed – all processed through PlayFootball

 

Summer Football Competition Levels:

AdvancedTeams who want to play at a more competitive level

Contains teams with 3 or more representative players, teams with a majority of Junior Div1/Div2 players and teams with a majority of players in Advanced MiniRoos grouping
Intermediate For teams who are looking for a competitive level with the emphasis on social, fun football
Beginner/SocialFor teams who are focused on learning the game in a social, fun environment
(Depending on number of teams, this level may be required to combine with the Intermediate grouping)
 

Last year’s tournament was a huge success, this year will be even bigger and better. So, best to start organising your team now OR register as an individual to be placed in a team.

Once again FSC will be incorporating Girls Only groupings for U12/14, U10/11 & U8/9. (Girls only groupings are subject to the number of teams nominated – in the event of nominations not reaching a suitable number – nominated teams will be given the option to join the mixed groupings). Teams wishing to compete in the Girls Only U12/14 tournament must be aware that the age range is for players 12 through to 14, it is recommended that your team consists of a mixture of girls across these ages.

Team Structure: 

  • 4 A-Side for U6 and U7 – min 5 players per team, max 7 players per team
  • 7 A-Side for U8 to U18 – min 8 players per team, max 10 players per team

(no exceptions – requests for additional players above the maximum, will not be approved) 

PLEASE NOTE: Team numbers will be limited at each venue – once a venue has reached capacity, teams may be offered an alternate venue or placed on a waiting list. 

 

Venue information: 

Thomas Dalton Park will be operating on Friday night only: 

  • U12 – U18 first games to kick off from approx 4:00pm 
  • U12/14 Girls only tournament will be held here and is subject to the number of team nominations received 
  • Tournament to commence – Round 1 Friday 8 October 
  • Final Round – Friday 10 December

Woonona High School will be operating on Saturday morning only: 

  • U6 – U11 first games to kick off from approx 8:30am 
  • U8/9 and U10/11 Girls only tournament will be held here and is subject to the number of team nominations received 
  • Tournament to commence – Round 1 Saturday 9 October 
  • Final Round – Saturday 11 December

Ian McLennan Park will be operating week nights: 

  • U6 – U13 first games to kick off from approx 4:30pm 
  • Mixed teams will play in combined age groups at this venue ie. U6/7, U8/9, U10/11, U12/13 
    • Monday – U6/7
    • Tuesday – U8/9
    • Wednesday – U10/11
    • Thursday – U12/13 
  • Tournament to commence – Round 1 Tuesday 5 October 
  • Final Round – Monday 13 December

Cost (inclusions): 

  • U6 – U7: $100 per player (10 weeks) 
    • Playing Kit included 
    • Registration fee 
    • Games will be led by parent game leaders as per FFA Guidelines (as per winter comp)
  • U8 – U18: $100 per player (10 weeks) 
    • Playing Kit included 
    • Registration fee 
    • Referee match fees 

 

Registration Process: 

 

NOMINATE A TEAM

Via PlayFootball where Team Manager/Organiser (must be an adult) completes their personal online registration on behalf of the team.

NOTE:

  1. Team Managers are required to provide a Working With Children Check number at the time of registration. 
  2. Once you have completed the Team Nomination, ask your players to complete their individual player registration in PlayFootball.
  3. Teams with 70% of players registered and paid in full via PlayFootball will secure a place for their team in the competition.

 

PLAYER REGISTRATION

  1. Players who have been nominated as a player in a Summer Football team – register and pay via PlayFootball

  3. Payment for players is required at time of registration  
  4. Active Kids Vouchers are accepted as payment and can be entered in PlayFootball at the time of registration

 

INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS LOOKING FOR A TEAM

  1. Players who DO NOT have a Summer Football team to play in – DO NOT register in PlayFootball UNTIL you have been allocated to a team

  3. FSC will endeavour to place individual players into teams as soon as a vacancy is available.  Finding a place in a team may take some time, please be patient.

OFFICIAL REGISTRATIONS CLOSE SUNDAY 19 SEPTEMBER

Team nominations and individual player registrations received after this date, will be placed on a waiting list and will be notified should places become available. Players and teams accepted into the competition after this date, may not receive playing kits prior to the first game.

 

Communication & Important Information About the Tournament:

Team App will be the official communication tool for FSC Summer Football.  If you are already using Team App, you can request access to join the FSC Summer Football group by clicking on ‘Find your Team/Club’ and then search for “FSC Summer Football”. Then request access to the venue your team is playing at.

 

Draw:

Will be available in the FSC Match Centre

Further information regarding draws will be made available post registration window. 

  • Select the 2021 – 2022 competition year 
  • Select the age and venue 
  • Click Full Fixture 
  • To see the whole draw for your team click on your team – there is an option to view all from the “last 5 games” 
  • Any changes to the draw should be published by Thursday 5pm – please check weekly. 
  • Some teams may have 2 games in a round – this is so that we avoid a Bye where possible (It’s not a mistake)

Playing Kit: 

Playing Kit Sizing GuideThe sizing guide chart is a suggested guide for playing kit sizes.  

Playing Kit sizing (jersey, shorts & socks) will be requested when players individually register to the tournament via PlayFootball.  

PLEASE NOTE:  PLAYING KITS ARE ORDERED AND SUPPLIED AS A KIT  i.e. jersey, shorts and socks together (they are not supplied as separate items). 

Playing kits will not be ordered until all nominated team members have completed registration and payment via PlayFootball.

Playing kit collection will be 1-2 weeks prior to competition commencement via the Team Manager/Organiser, who will be contacted by FSC.
